"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence - by Ansel Adams"
Photography has been a hobby, which I have been waiting to pursue for long. Finally the wait is over once I set my eyes on the Fujifilm HS10 camera. Knew right away that I had found the tool to fulfill by dreams of capturing nature in its fullest of charms.
A little about myself. I am an engineer by profession, working in an MNC presently. Photography is a passion which has been long in the waiting, waiting for the finances, time & camera to work out. Personally, a happily married man and blessed with a baby boy.
My Fujifilm HS10. Amazing camera that gives you the functions of a full manual control (Just like an SLR) and the ease of a point and shoot. A perfect bridge camera. Launched by Fujifilm somewhere around April'10 in India. The camera features an amazing 30x optical zoom and a 7 frames/sec continuos shoot mode (at full resolution) ideal for birding/sports. The super Macro mode (as close a 1cm) is best for shooting flowers and insects and creatures that wont run away the moment you step near them.
Before the HS10, i used the Sony DSC W-30 that gave me amazing photos too, some of which are uploaded here. I still use this camera for some closeup shots.
I would have to say that capturing birds on my HS10 is the most exciting thing to do. The best place to get the most variety of birds is in Jamnagar Gujarat. Visit this place during the rains and be amazed by the varieties of migratory and local birds. Other good places for birding are Balachadi and Pirothan & Narola islands in Gujarat. Still to visit the islands though. Maybe i'll plan a trip next year. Till then will post photos from in and around aamchi Mumbai.
